Reviewed the claim calculation and supporting documentation noting that the claim was not fully supported. The budget for the loss period did not coincide with the details of the production schedule. Adjusted the calculation for the appropriate production schedule and recommended to the insurer to pay the appropriate amount. Follow up from the insurer noted that the insured accepted the adjustment as the original budget was adjusted down as reflected on the production schedule due to the loss of a contract prior to the loss.
Review of a claim calculation prepared by an accountant - Australia: Provide advice to the insured in relation to a claim calculation prepared by their internal accountant. Review noted that the costs of the mitigation measure were not included in the claim calculation. A review of the mitigation costs noted that not only could increased cost of working be claimed but additional increased costs of working could be claimed. Additional claim for $275k included and paid by the insurer.
